Our leadership team, comprised of distinguished experts such as Paul F. Skalny, Dr. Gregory W. Auner, Roger B. Burrows, and Dr. Michelle Brusatori, brings a wealth of experience and visionary insight to drive our mission of rapid innovation and technological excellence. Paul, President & CEO, is an award-winning expert in military technology and clean energy with over 44 years of experience in advanced technology development. Greg, Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer, is a renowned biomedical engineer with over $50 million in research grants, 40+ patents, and 300+ publications, leading innovation in medical device design and biosensing. Roger, Co-Founder and COO, is a retired Brigadier General and industry executive with over five decades of military and business leadership. One of Visca’s notable innovations is the combined hydration monitoring and motion tracking system. This flexible electronics-based sensor package for human performance monitoring builds upon earlier research funded by NASA and the Department of Defense. Advanced to a second-generation component level, this system integrates inertial measurement unit (IMU) data with a Lagrangian motion model of the human brain. This provides real-time analysis of impact forces, offering critical insights into brain and spinal motion due to impact, crucial for both sports and military applications​.

Neurospinal – Hydration Sensor

Addressing the critical need for rapid and accurate radiation exposure assessment, Visca has developed an advanced biodosimetry model based on RNA gene expression phenotypes. Utilizing a field-deployable, real-time quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) system, and built upon extensive research funded by Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, our patented solution can assess radiation exposure from a single drop of blood within 24 minutes, providing vital data for immediate medical response.​

Radiation Biodosimetry Device

Visca’s expertise extends into the realm of aluminum nitride (AlN) wide bandgap semiconductors, a cutting-edge material known for its exceptional electronic properties. Our work in this area focuses on leveraging AlN’s ultra-wide bandgap to develop advanced power electronics and high-frequency devices. These semiconductors are integral to the next generation of power converters and RF devices, offering superior performance in terms of efficiency, thermal stability, and power density, and our AlN-based technologies are poised to revolutionize applications in renewable energy, electric vehicle, and defense systems.
